Description
Enclomiphene – 12.5mg
(Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator – SERM)
Enclomiphene is a nonsteroidal selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) and the trans-isomer of clomiphene citrate. It acts primarily as an estrogen receptor antagonist in the hypothalamus and pituitary gland, blocking estrogen-mediated negative feedback. This results in increased gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) secretion, elevated luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and subsequent stimulation of endogenous testosterone production in research models.
Enclomiphene has been investigated as a potential alternative to testosterone replacement therapy, with studies focusing on its ability to restore and maintain physiological testosterone levels while preserving fertility.
Mechanism of Action (Based on Preclinical and Clinical Research):
-
Antagonizes estrogen receptors in the hypothalamus and pituitary
-
Increases GnRH release, stimulating LH and FSH secretion
-
Enhances endogenous testosterone production while maintaining spermatogenesis
-
Functions as a SERM with tissue-selective activity (antagonist in the hypothalamus, partial agonist elsewhere)
Potential Benefits (Based on Preclinical Research):
-
Studied for boosting endogenous testosterone without suppressing fertility
-
Explored as an alternative to exogenous testosterone therapy in male models
-
Potential benefits for maintaining sperm count and reproductive function
-
Investigated for modulation of estrogen-sensitive pathways with reduced risk of feminizing effects compared to clomiphene mixtures
