Description
Tesamorelin – 5mg
(Synthetic Growth Hormone–Releasing Hormone Analog)
Tesamorelin is a synthetic peptide analog of growth hormone–releasing hormone (GHRH), designed to bind and activate GHRH receptors in the anterior pituitary. By stimulating these receptors, Tesamorelin promotes pulsatile release of endogenous growth hormone (GH), which in turn modulates downstream effects such as increased insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) production and regulation of lipid metabolism.
Research interest in Tesamorelin has focused on its role in growth hormone axis modulation, metabolic function, and its potential applications in models of lipodystrophy, age-related endocrine changes, and body composition management.
Mechanism of Action (Based on Preclinical and Clinical Research):
-
Mimics endogenous GHRH by binding to pituitary GHRH receptors
-
Stimulates pulsatile secretion of GH, preserving physiological release patterns
-
Increases circulating IGF-1 levels, mediating many of its metabolic and anabolic effects
-
Supports lipolysis and lipid redistribution via GH/IGF-1 axis modulation
Potential Benefits (Based on Preclinical Research):
-
Enhanced growth hormone and IGF-1 activity in research models
-
Studied for effects on reducing visceral adipose tissue (VAT)
-
Investigated for improvements in body composition and metabolic regulation
-
Potential research applications in models of age-related decline in GH secretion
